Need help on cooler...

Hello, 1st time builder and OCer. What I have so far is on my sig. Trying to buy a cooler next but not sure which one. Should I just buy the Hyper 212 EVO and call it day? It's $25 AR right now on NE.

Or is there something better and/or cheaper?

What budget are you looking at?

The 212 EVO is typically recommended as a good budget solution, but there are much better options available.

$40-50 is probably my max

My plan was to OC and play games in solid settings. Maybe at low level high settings if that makes sense.

Would I need to up my budget to do that?

I really think the 212 EVO is all you will need for that dual core...you will likely run into a 'voltage limit' (as in, not 24/7 voltages) before temperatures.

The 212 EVO should do all you need, but I would get this Xigmatek

This is gonna sound elitist, but... make sure to have the money, dont settle for less as what you need because you don't have the budget now.



If you can wait and up your budget to $100 - $120,- you can get an AIO.
