Both silly. Get a tech stand. Minzes roxxors yourzzes betterez. Humor:rofl: Lets agree there are diff cases, some recommend round ones, some flat ones.:grouphug:

It's about WC, not a case as much.

Its stupid that you two are trying to get under each others skin. That rich comment was a bit out of line I think.

Anyway I went back did more research I feel somewhat comfortable giving a WC parts list.
First I think I will be going with the Ascension, although without a front panel I will have to get a lot more fans to make it look proper.
Im not sure what fans to get, I dont know what fans to buy. As I mentioned I want a fan controller that connects all fans (I dont mind if they are grouped or individually controlled). I really like the idea of most fans being off if the system is cool. Also is push-pull worth the money in this case? And will the radiators come with all the screws needed?

Anyway the parts for the WC that I have figured out so far are

3X Black Ice GTX Xtreme 480 Radiators
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/5327/ex-rad-110/Black_Ice_GTX_Xtreme_480_Radiator_-_Black.html

2X Swiftech MCP655 Pumps
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/6...ed_Control_and_38_Conversion_Kit_317_GPH.html

2X Bitspower Water Tank 150 Inline
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/9...ulti_150_Inline_Reservoir_BP-WTZM150P-BK.html

18X Bitpower 1/2"ID 3/4"OD Compression Fittings
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...ssion_Fitting_-_Matte_Black_BP-MBCPF-CC5.html

15 Feet of PrimoChill PrimoFlex
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...12ID_x_34_OD_-_Bloodshed_Red_PFLEXA-34-R.html

1X EK Rampage IV Full Block (EK-FB KIT RE4 - Acetal+Nickel CSQ)
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...kel_CSQ_EK-FB_KIT_RE4_-_AcetalNickel_CSQ.html

2X EK 690 Blocks (EK-FC690 GTX-Acetal+NickelCSQ)
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...kel_CSQ_EK-FC690_GTX_-_Acetal_Nickel_CSQ.html

1X EK Surpremacy Elite CPU Block
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...o_Xtreme_EK-Supremacy_Elite_-_Intel_2011.html

1X Koolance SLI Connector
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/9...or_-_Adjustable_1_Slot_Spacing_CNT-VDA2_.html

Is their anything else that I should be concerned about? Anything Im missing?

EDIT:Conundrum, I prefer enclosed cases, I think it looks better. A tech stand would be a great idea though.

Amen, thanks for getting past that. Your mature and know when it's getting silly.

Inline tanks can be a pain to bleed. Only need one res unless your making two loops. And NO reason for two loops.

D5 pumps will be fine, get the vario version.

Your gonna need more than a few bitspower rotary fittings in the 90 and 45 flavor. The 90's bend like magic and will make tubing routing much easier. Compression's/tubing don't like stress. Here is my build log, maybe you saw it, look how magic they are. Other build pics really help too.

And OMG, you don't need THREE rads. Two is more than enough.

Do the math. With two we'll say in theory (and way possible) your Dt is under 10C. Very good. Add that massive third rad and OMG, your Dt is down 3.33333C. And that will make not one freaking bit of diff to your overclocks. You'll be at thermal ability of the CPU block and your chip wayyy before that 3.3333C will make a diff.

You'll waste money and a bit of flow rate. And even fans on 2 of those rads on low will be fine, you won't be able to turn the fans low enough to justify the 3 rads, because you'll have no airflow and the fans won't turn. No benefit. But, it's your stuff. Buy a bigger SSD or something instead.

Drop the third rad.

Screws. Maybe. It's a hobby. Buy more if you need too. Buy longer ones, a tap and die, a thread cutter if need be.

LOL< that much rad you don't need push/pull. Get GT-AP-15 fans. 3 pin voltage controlled. Or find PWM fans and learn how to control them. You ever read our regular cooling sub forum? New PWM controller from Swiftech. Might want to read up on it. I think there are some nice PWM fans, but I am not an expert on them

Noted, 2 radiators. Gonna get 8 AP-15's like you suggested. Cut it down to one res. Looks like this build is gonna cost $5000 Aprox. I think I just puked a bit.

You shoot for the moon, you puke. Only the very few know what it's like. Dunno your age/history background. Look at the videos for the failed Apollo moon landing. You wanna se stress and cost? Become a history buff.

It's a hobby. If it's your big first WC adventure, then why not air cool for a few weeks to get a handle on all of this. And learn more. No rush, it's a hobby.

And noted, don't think I know it all. Use your brain, I am just an old timer with experience. It's your stuff. I used my brain, your doing great. Do the Dt math and learn. Your doing great and a welcome breath of smarts to some of the idiot noobs we have here at times.

Damn ripsaw. This is going to be a, to coin a phrase, EPIC BUILD...
You should do a build log when everything comes in...

If it plays out Ill have a friend over to make a time lapse, otherwise Ill just take some pictures.

Dt is the term we use to express the difference between the water temp in a stabilized loop vs the air temps going into the radiator fins. It's in the stickies, you should give it a read to understand your heat load.

RipsawLegacy man, i ust want to say that you should have buy the GTX 690 that already come with factory waterblock something like this

E145-0696_vgallery02_dcp_gl_7647509.jpg

Reason that i say you should get the one with factory waterblock is i happen to see a gpu waterblock just fell off the card at one of the LAN party in Austin i go to last summer, the guy who own that pc, his face just turn white with horror.
Buy a card with a factory wb and you don't have to worry about thing like that happen
Also if you're not careful when removing the stock cooler, snap off or bump the wrong electronic and you may find yourself with a $1000 coaster or worse.

Yeah Ive been debating if I want to delay my build by a month or two in order to get the pre-blocked. Im still thinking about it however.

Another thing i want to mention is you should get some piece of paper and some color pencil and start design your loops, one of the reason for water cooling beside better temp and better oc for your pc is to make your pc look beautiful.
I will be back in a few minute, got some video you should watch to see how the veteran design their loops so you can get some idea for your own pc

Good advice all around. As long as your very careful and take your time removing the shroud and placing the new WB it's not that bad. But it is a wee bit nerve racking..... Keeps the blood flowing :)

The 690 hydro block is sexy as hell though. I would have also went with the hydro but they were out of stock and cost additional $100x2

Keep us posted.. Sounds like a sweet build

Yeah Ive seen a couple of there videos, wonderful channels. And I looked for the pre-blocked 690, but it seems like they arnt sold anymore.
