Newegg Combo Build?

As far as it looks to me, it looks pretty nice. You might be able to do a little better but to me it looks nice. Only thing i noticed is that the ram is more expensive than whats necessary, but the combo discount outweighs that.

Just so you know, it doesnt have an optical drive which may be necessary to install your OS (you didnt specify what Os it is)

I like the case. Have one myself. Big fan.
That motherboard is the exact motherboard I recommend to people
GTX760 2GB is ok. 3 or 4GB is better these days
750W PSU is quite overkill for this build
4670K is a quality CPU.
SSD has high transfer rates and IOPS
Fast Ram never hurts
I don't like the hard drive.

Can't argue with $90 savings.

I suggest throwing an H100i or a Noctua NHD14 onto the order. Might not hurt to grab a WD Caviar black HDD as well. They're highly reliable. Use the seagate for unimportant things, just incase. Every Seagate drive I've ever had crapped out.

I didn't notice the lack of optical! Thanks for that spot.

Feedback on the HD's is especially appreciated. Can't afford to lose my stuff (Doubles as a business machine).

So I decided to raid my old PC for parts that I'm able to. This allows me to up the specs on the parts I need to buy while staying under budget.

Things I'm ripping out of my old PC:
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139009
HD: HD Black 500GB
Optical: LG DVD thing

These are the parts I'm currently considering. I used the previous link (Newegg combo deal) as a baseline for parts.

I have a few questions....is everything compatible, am I missing anything, the usual stuffs....but in particular;

-Is there cheaper RAM that is just as good (Want REALLY good stuff)?
-Looking for a video card that is a step or two below this. $330 is a bit high. Want the best card in the $200-250 range.

****EDIT:
I'm considering swapping out the 770 with the 760. It's significantly less powerful....but it's still up there, and it's $240. Saves $90!

similar setup minus the memory, they don't have gskill memory, and you have to pick up the cpu at a local store. I have yet to see another place beat their CPU deals.

OP- are you planning to overclock? Or not? Is this purely a gaming computer? Or are you doing any more intensive stuff on it that would benefit from 8 threads?
