This rig is rather old now but anyway..
The problem is seen ín the familiar form; no signal on the screen, fans & hdds are running, no beeps, no post..
Here's the current setup:
Asus P3V133 rev. 1.13 (BIOS: 1003 beta 002)
Pentium 3 Katmai 550MHz
1x256Mb PC133 SDRAM
GF2MX400
WD307AA (30GB) + WD64AA (6GB)
HP CD-Writer+ 9100c
AWE64 ISA
98SE
etc..
and the "upgrade-block" is
Asus S370-133 adapter rev. 1.01
+P3 Coppermine 1GHz/133FSB
That mobo _should_ support that cpu but.. No boot /w the new parts.
With old ones, no problems. Tried the new cpu+slotket in a v. 1.02 BH6 also, no success. Could the psu be causing problems? A 250w KME (which I recall is a bit disliked name amongst people)
I have tried erasing CMOS, reseating cards&cables, tried the RAM in other slots and away too. No success.
(the new cpu is taken from a working rig afaik)
I have noticed that sometimes the psu fan doesn't spin when I try to boot /w upgrade parts in..
Perkele.
