Hey peeps, I am kind of a newb at overclocking but have done some research and I am experiencing some problems when I overclocked my Intel core I5 3.3 ghz 2500k processor. I overclocked it to 4.7ghz with the following settings which I was told to adjust: CPU V Core: 1.25V Dram (DDR) volt 1.5, D ram frequency: 1600 mhz, spead spec disabled, C1E support spread disabled, overspeed protection, intel c-state disabled, limit CP1ID max disabled EIST disabled, Inter PLL Overvolt enabled, Inter turbo boost enabled. I now get the blue screen of death occasionally, any suggestions. My sys specs are an MSI P67A-G43 (B3) LGA 1155 motherboard, XFX HD-687A-ZDFC Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 graphics card, G.SKILL Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) ram, Thermalright Venomous X - RT 120mm CPU Cooler, and a 650w power supply. My cpu temp at 4.7 ghz was at 52 celcius.

If I am reading that right you are saying your vcore is 1.25, that is no where near enough for 4.7 lol. Also, not ALL chips can do 4.7 100% stable, so shoot for 4.5. Try 4.5 and 1.35vcore.

To check for stability download LinX or IntelBurnTest. If you wanna wait hours, you could try prime95 too.
