Overclocking cannot achieve higher clocks, but components are water cooled

My card rips through my games at 1080p with everything set at default. The only place I notice the boost is benchmarks. But it is cool pulling these numbers on a stock air cooler.
On the other end, I've had two AMD chips that ran out of steam before they ran out of cooling. More volts didn't help at all. I'll try to break that streak with my 980 BE as soon as I get a decent mobo.

1080p isnt a high resolution and boost doesnt affect memory...but yeah, a 1070 will do that.

Boost doesn't, but I do. The low res is why I got a 1070, I figured it would be more than enough for a while.
