Hello this is my first post and first major attempt at overclocking :D

i just finished upgrading my computer with a new mobo and cpu and was looking forward to overclocking them.
The specs on it are:
Dual Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 170
and a 939Dual-SATA2 with the newest bios.

Ive got the cpu with a slight overclock at 2.2 GH but i was wondering how far theoretically i could go with this setup.
To my understading to overclock these I would be changing the voltages, FSP, cpu multiplier and the HTT multiplier.

Any insight is greatly appreciated :)

Hello all who care :p i got i was reading arround and finnaly got my cpu stable at 2.64GH
35*C stable 45*C load. heres what i based it off:

9x multiplyer so set your CPU To
Asynce
Then raise your CPU to 289
This will start you off at 2600 or 2.6 Gigs
Leave Pcie at 100
Boot failure guard on
Speed Spectrum off
Cool n Quiet off
CPU Manual.......set to highest voltage... Me thinks it's 1.4Volts
Set Memory to 133/266 for now

Sorry no one answered you earlier. I've been out of it for a couple of weeks and normally respond to s939 OC's - kinda' my specialty.

Are you still OC'ing or have you pushed as far as you're willing ...?
