This thread still has several more posts that are not needed, including some of mine.
 
Really a unused fan on a passive cooler could be lowering the passive cooling ability. Reason is it is disrupting airflow to / from cooler.

I think the baii system's passive ability is being restricted more by the close proximity of GPU PCB and the limited space between bottom of case and what is is setting on.

The space between case and table has about half as much airlfow area as the PSU and case intake vents do.
