Strangely it happens more when i'm idling on the desktop. i have to force shutdown my pc every time it happens.

monitored with "CPUID HWMonitor"
it kept showing 803MHz and jumped up to the max around 4525MHz for a second

also TMPIN4 doesnnt show a value or a min temperature its just 0, and max 128
(but every other tmpin does) i havent a clue what they even are like..

specs
CPU - i7 7700k
GPU - EVGA GTX 1080 FTW
AIO Cooler - Corsair H100i v2 Liquid CPU cooler
Mobo - Asus Maxiumus IX Hero
PSU - Corsair CX850M
RAM - Corsair Vengeance DDR4 16GB
240gb SSD
2TB HDD

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Bios and drivers updated? Event viewer say anything?

I believe so yeah, and not sure what im really looking for on event viewer, there's some criticals of what looks like whenn i've had to shut my pc off.

and theres alot of errors that say this

"The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID"

Power settings might be freezing your hard drives. Turn off sleep and hibernate functions and see if that sorts you.

Are you using AIsuite? Any other third party software aside from HWMonitor that watches sensors?
