Hey Guys,

I have put 4 Corsair SP120 Fans on my Cooler Master Seidon 240m radiator in push pull configuration. Can I connect the 4 fans to the CPU_Fan socked on my motherboard (Gigabyte Z87X-U3H)?

If not, how can I do this? Is there a way to split the power from the PSU while controlling the fans from the CPU_Fan header? I have tried to find information by myself but its pretty confusing when it comes to Fan Controllers.

Also all the Pins on the motherboard are 4pin. I have removed two of the fans for now and connected the fans on the radiator to the CPU_Fan header with a Y splitter (Was scared to connect daisy chain all four fans.) CPU runs at 85C max with IBT.

This seems to be the kind of control I'm looking for, but its out of stock http://www.swiftech.com/8-waypwmsplitter.aspx .

Please throw in your suggestions and help me finish my first liquid cooler build :)

Btw, those temps are at 4.4Ghz Core and 4.0Ghz on cache at 1.290v core and 1.150 VCORE on VRING. Also I just want to add I live in Qatar, which makes it hard for me to get parts (Have to ship and pay for it via aramax:() So really need advice on the right controller/splitter to get before I do my orders.

I use one of these and it works great. The motherboard provides PWM signal to all of the fans. one of the fans provides rpm feedback to the motherboard, and your power supply handles the grunt work of powering the fans.

What Bob said.

I prefer the Swiftech 8-way PWM splitter. I know you only need to run 4x fans but having extra doesn't hurt. ;)

or Gelid 1-to-4 splitter CA-PWM-03. Well built product.

Avoid the Akasa 4x PWM braided cable splitter. It has issues with leads stress fatiguing between heatshrink and connectors and breaking off.. After awhile you open case, do whatever, close up and boot and either a fan will run full speed or not at all. :(

Thanks guys, I am ordering the Gelid 1 to 4 splitter already. That seems like it will be perfect for me. Might get two of those :X

Hmm, I like the looks of that 8 way splitter, might redo a few things whehn I get my new GPU and they are in stock again on some case fans.

while PWM splitters is the way to go.... note that the fans MUST be PWM fans also...
are the corsair sp120 PWM fans?
