Just a quick question I running a Q6600 stock 2.4 well in this pic why is it showing 1600 Mhz ?I really dont know to much about this but doesnt seem right to me.Thanks

this is due to speedstep being enabled in bios. Do something that will put a load on the cpu and it will bump back to 2.4.

are you overclocking??? If you plan to overclock then you will see it in your BIOS listed as speedstep or EIST. you can disable it and the cpu will run at its default 2.4ghz all the time!

No Im not overclocking just wondered why it said 1600 Mhz and not what it was supposed to thanks for the response.
