Specifically, these don't use JMicron IDE connectors, do they?
Primarily, I'm looking at hooking up an older model NEC 3540 DVD/R to a board I'll be getting to building shortly, (GA-MA790X-UD4P) as it's still good...I shouldn't have any problems, hopefully.
I know that IDE optical drives had problems playing nicely with anything that used JMicron for the IDE interface on last-generation Intel boards, I wasn't sure if it was still the case or not.
