So i currently have 3 hard drives in this computer... none are SSD yet. i'll get one eventually. 2 of them are 300 gb drives (C and D) and one is 150(F). right now i have windows 7 installed on one of the 300 gb drives(C). i want to clean install windows 8 on the 150gb(F) drive and just partition the whole drive for win 8.

do i have to worry about the stuff on the 300 gb harddrive(D) that doesn't have windows on it? i was thinking i could just unplug it during the install and then just plug it back in when i'm done upgrading. i've already backed up the stuff on my C drive.

Yes, your hard drive data will be protected for sure if you simply unplug it until you finish the installation process, then plug it back in when the installation is finished.
