Seems that Intel is leaving quite a bit of leeway into their next 45nm chips.

So now if AMD shows some muscle, we will get REALLY nice clocked chips. If the chips hit 4.5GHz on air, that means that Intel can launch 4GHz as top model.

We really wont be able to tell what the rest of the quads are going to clock like until they start showing up. That is an Extreme Edition ES, it could be a gem of a chip. Hopefully that clock is a hint towards some nice OCs out of the non-extreme series.
