RAID>Maxtor 2m seek time verses 8

I have two maxtor hardrives, one in the system has 8 mseconds seek time, and I just got one that has 2mseconds is that going to matter for raid??? I know they both have to be the same size, but how about the speed for seek, the rpm is the same 7200.

there's no IDE drive has 2ms seek time, even the fastest scsi has around 3.6ms seek time

I think maybe hes talking about the buffer

yes, it was the buffer, and I found out , (after the tech laughed, with nouth piece coverd,) LOL , that the buffer is not that important....
