Dear Forum,

I have a quick question. May seem "stupid" but going to ask. I have some spare & going to build a system as a backup ONLY. Will only be used short term. The 2 main components:
M/B: AsRock N68C-s UCC
CPU: AMD Phenom 2 x4 955(Black Edition)
My question is simply:
Will this CPU run with this M/B?
I'm asking because I've read varied answers but this forum seems to have the best, sensible answers.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would vote no, it's not on the support list, but it just might......... with a few tweaks. http://www.asrock.com/mb/NVIDIA/N68C-S UCC/#CPU

The 945 is supported, only difference from the 955 is clock speed right ? SHOULD IN THEORY work fine with the latest bios

It will probably work but don't try to overclock it on that wimpy motherboard.
