Hi all,

I now have various parts as listed below to work with wanting to know what the best mix is, advice and opinions welcome.

500W PSU just the 1

CPU'S
Phenom II 555
2 X FX 4100
1 x AMD Athlon unsure what model
1 x i5 3330
1 x 2500k (Intel model of some sort)

Motherboards
IPISB-CH2
GA-MA74GMT-S2
GA-78LMT-SP2 (not sure if good idea just to swap this in to replace the dead mobo of same model).
GA-970A-UD3

GPU's
GTS 440
GT220
Radeon HD 7700
GTX 550ti

RAM all 2GB stick (unsure of speeds)
Adata x 6
Kingston x 1
Hynix x 1
Corsair x 2
Samsung x 2
Ripjaws x 2

Cheers,

Bandit.

I would start with the GA-970A-UD3 board as it is the latest of the bunch and supports more and better of everything. GPU's do not matter for a backup device, you won't be doing anything there that needs it. The onboard GPU is fine. RAM, I would og with the ADATA stuff as long as they test good and I would fill all 4 slots.

Not sure the GA-970A-UD3 supports any APUs so he might have to have some kind of video card. I don't believe any of the socket AM3/AM3+ CPUs had IGP.

That's fine, I'm sure your right. Not being an AMD fan I have no idea and I didn't check. Bottom line is any cheap video card will do. :)

Any either of these any different one came off a FX4100 and other from an Athlon and the other off one of the Intel machines.

I think I would go with the GA-78LMT-SP2 and the phenom II 555 or FX4100 for the onboard graphics on a backup rig.

So none of the GPU's would be even worth using ?

I was previously using the GA-78LMT board + the 555 unlocked with 4 cores at 3.2ghz and it was able to run Final Fantasy XV low settings just want to make sure I get the best of what I have available so I can get rid of the rest or keep as spares.
