Recommend new dvd drive

Hello,

I’m looking for a DVD+-R/RW burner and CD/DVD player all-in-one optical drive for Windows PC, but I really could use some advice. I really don’t need a blu-ray player capabilities, as I can’t think of any reason I would need one. However, if there’s a really good model that happens to have it, I’m open to that.

I’m looking for quality, speed, and as silent as reasonably possible.

Well, I have heard good things about the ASUS DVD Drive on newegg.

I use this drive right now and it is good on speed and quality. A little bit on the noisier side of things but for me it is fine.

As far as quiet, I have an asus and its quiet outside of the initial spinup.

This. Not exactly a moving and shaking field of technology. Just buy the cheapest one on newegg.

If, however, you are looking to burn money, I can sell you one at a significantly higher cost.
