Reformat needed for 8K5A3+ --> 8RDA+ ?

My 8RDA+ came today

Going to be swapping out my 8K5A3+ (KT333) for it- do I need to reformat? Hope not- because don't want to back up all my files & saved games!

You don't have to but I would recommend it. Not only are you changing motherboards but you are changing to a difference chipset altogether.
