Sapphire 6850 ddr5 Dirt 3 Edition Cooling Modification

anyone tried this before ? i would love to try it today but im busy taking ideas all over the net.

I have the same card, what modification do you have in mind?
I plan to put this cooler on it today and see how high I can get the clocks

That's a very good cooler (handles my unlocked 6950 with ease), and it's very quiet, so you should be able to clock your 6850 pretty high with it, depending on the components used of course.

i was just planning to remove the gpu's plastic case. and manually modifying it by removing the stock fan and replacing it with a bigger one. i saw someone did it on youtube. i was planning to buy a cooler for the 6850 but at max load and like 5-8 hours gaming i get 70c max is that ok ?

Yeah 70C is fine. 85C+ is more of a warning area, but around 70C you're in good shape.
