sata 2 and raptors

alright im hearing alot of talk about sata 2. and reading this forum has really thrown me into the jump seat to buy another raptor and raid em. however are sata 2 raptors due out any time soon?

because i do plan on upgrading my system in about 6 to 8 months to a board with it. i dont really want to waste my money now on another raptor if a sata 2 raptor is coming out in the next month or 2. i could buy 1 raid em on my board i got now and when i upgrade i just grab a second sata 2 raptor and sell my old one.

if anyone has any news or release dates on this it would be greatly appreciated thanks

NCQ isnt the reason that im asking about sata 2 its the bandwidth increase i want.

300mb/s interface for a drive that peaks at 80mb/s if you're lucky?

ICH6 supports NCQ if you've got an i915 or i925 board.

Again. You will not see any benefits from the increased bandwidth, not for a very, very long time.

There is no news on a SATA II Raptor coming out.
