I have a gigabyte ga-p35-ds4 motherboard and intel q6600 2.4ghz

I've got 3.2ghz after overclocking.
I bought scythe katana 3 because it was the only heatsink that fits my
motherboard.
Is the scythe katana 3 good for overclocking?

Looks like it's ok. I love this idea! Seems like you could not do push-pull fans on it which would limit its effectiveness.

It's an average cooler. Will do okay with CPUs that have 100W TDP or less. It probably won't take your Q6600 to new levels. Feel free to research the interwebz for reviews.

Keep an eye on your CPU temps when overclocking and see how high you can go!
