Secure Wipe Hard Drive Confirmation

I have 3 3TB drives I want to sale and have gone through the DoD 3 Cycle Data Wipe, is that enough? Thanks

Kidding...that said, when I sell drives, I typically just format/secure erase them. I dont store passwords on the system so anything more than that feels like overkill (until it isnt).

But yeah, you're more than golden with dod3.

A single overwrite pass makes it non-trivial to try to recover anything. If someone still wants to get your data after being overwritten, you probably have bigger problems to worry about. IMO a 3 pass wipe is more than good enough for normal people.

When I sell drives ...I drill them full of holes and then crush them with a 20T press.
