[SOLVED] Windows 8 Student discount/upgrade

Hey guys I just finished my first build ever. I'm ready to buy windows 8 but I don't have an OS loaded on there and I want to make sure I could download it and burn it onto a DVD and then put it in my computer to install. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

An upgrade version can be installed as a full version. Just select the "custom" option when you install it.

So I bought and installed it, I clicked full version and everything but the product key wont let me activate the full version of windows. What do I do now?
