Gotcha. Saw threads but didn't realize they'd gotten so bad :/

Yep, ROG is still solid currently. Just the low end being meh :/

That said, I've stopped recommending Asus all together.
A company of that size has the means to take care of its customers, but chooses not to.

As strong as ASRock and Gigabyte are, with less RMA/CS issues, I'll stick to them.
 
I used to be an Asus fanboy until I started having issues with their boards and their lack of CS and awful RMA service as well.

Don't get me wrong, but when their boards work, they work very well. Once it craps the bed and you need RMA, good luck with that :-/.

I decided to give Gigabyte a shot, and so far I'm very happy with them. Not one single issue with the their boards and their CS/RMA service is awsome.

Haven't used an Asus board since the x58 days.

There's another brand I'd steer clear from, but that's for another topic.
