I recently picked up a comp just for simple work, when I dont want to boot my main rig, its powered by an e6600 but just to make sure everything was aOK, I ran prime 95 to burn in everything before warrently lol. I found that the temps went all the way up to 59 and went stable there, is this normal for a e6600?

btw this is at small ffts, stock cooling, stock everything, no overclock.

Is this a normal temp? it seems pretty high but I have no expirence with conroes.

thanks if anyone responds to this lame thread lol

you may get better temps if you replace the stock tim with a higher quality paste.59c is kind of high for a stock e6600.have you tried lowering the voltage any?most c2ds will undervolt nicely which can help your temps as well.
