Hey all,
Take a look at this, its real weird.

I was walking by a skip and saw a beautiful piece of mahogany, so i took it home.
Here it is:

Now, here is the side panel from my ancient Gateway case:

And here is the old Gateway case itself:

Heres what i noticed:
The mahonany panel is EXACTLY the same size as the case side panel, and i mean EXACTLY, to the milimeter:

Take a close look, its perfectly flush with the case on ALL sides, its almost precision!

Why post this? I dont know, I just found it really weird that the wood fits perfectly, to the milimeter...unreal.
Maybe Gateway base there case sizes on old mahogany panels... :D

Spooky no?
;)

Excellent tip Mr. Radar, works a charm...
;)

I'm not sure i'll bother doing anything with the wood, it's too different a colour than the case, it doesnt look nice and i'd hate to paint it.

Am too busy building my wooden mini hard drive case at the mo anyways.
Watch this space...
:D
