Chaos_Being: Did you ever happen to run some tests on your system to see how it compares? I mean really it truely was the exact same system.

Not yet, I've been pretty busy lately. Now that you reminded me though, I'm still interested in the results too- I'll run the benchmarks that you did tomorrow and post the results (sandra and super pi at least, I don't have Everest on my pc although I could install it.) Its too late now, I"m about to go to bed :p

Ok, test results are in. I just wrote them down so no screenshots, although I could go back and re-run them to get screenshots if requested.

Sandra:

Cpu Arithmetic- 9886 MIPS, 7263 MFLOPS
Cpu Multimedia- Integer x8 iSSE2 25366 it/s, Floating Point x4 iSSE2 36147 it/s
Memory Bandwith- Int buff'd iSSE2 5912 MB/s, Float buff'd iSSE2 5894 MB/s

Given my numbers compared to the numbers you posted on page one, I'd say you made a pretty nice upgrade according to the benchmarks. My rig = pwned :p

Damn pwned is an understatement its been ripped a new one lol :) I like hehe

Thx for posting the scores there. Man that truely does make a huge difference, and a much needed improvment on my end, so when you upgrading? :)

As soon as I can lol :D

Hopefully January, I'm just about to move and probably won't be settled until mid-december-ish, and then Christmas will be there. So yeah, hopefully by January i'll have the finances and time ready. The new rig will use an X2 as I've been planning or maybe a DC Opteron. We'll have similar PC's and the same car, weird

Wanted to consolidate this so people won't be flipping through a picture so they can see the numbers easier :)

Well did a little tweaking. Running @ 2,520 ish now with 280Mhz on the ram. For some reason I'm getting better scores with it running 15mhz slower, and roughly 50 or so megs faster in at least Everest. Sandra took a crap on me so got to reinstall it a little later. Also running 1.55V just to be safe ;) I can always drop it more later.

CPU temps now with the new GPU of course increased. The GPU increased case temps a little. CPU now runs @ 46-47C Fully loaded 2 primes going along with Rthdribl running in the background taxing the GPU at full power. PWM's running @ 49C and chipset amazingly running at 44C max. I'm shocked at that tempature the most it really hasn't changed expecially being blocked by the graphics card.

Still running prime @ now nearing 3+ hours.

Reworked it slighly now.... Ram was having stability issues at the high speed now. So I cut it back a few.

Heres some results between 2 different tests I got in sandra.

268x9.5 = 2,546
22905/10450
48121/52460
6469/6405

then
255x10.0 = 2550
22944/10450
48190/52555
6530/6472

Now im tweaking some of the memory settings still but I'm running @ 2.7V and I know its stable @ 2.6V running this speed on more of a stock setting for the memory timings. Curious to what I can get out of it now.

I'm currently running 1.456v at 2.6Ghz, however core-0 is only 5 hours stable on Prime95 small FFT, while core-1 is 12+ hours stable. Jumping to 1.488 makes core-0 stable. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like 2.7Ghz isn't going to be possible without going to 1.55 - 1.6 range, somewhere I don't want to go, espeacially with my silient air cooled case.

Sounds like we have the exact same cpu. Basically at least, although mine at 1.450v is killer stable in everything, both cores.

Well ram was getting damn toasty, REALLY TOASTY! 55C after a few min on not being stressed at 2.8V! Well added some active cooling to it with some crappy slow 80mm fans. Well gotta say supprisingly it worked quiet well. Anywhere from 2.8-3.0V it hovers around 40-42C under load for 40+min not bad.

Anyways brought back my increasing need to make my nicely stabled OC at highest possible.

Now im using 9.5x270Mhz for 2565.5Mhz using 1.552V Windows or 1.595 bios (1.45V * 1.1)

Did a few renders that seemed to like crashing if it was instable, and definatlly showed much quicker then prime did. Worked quiet well 8 pictures @ 5:50 a piece to render roughly, gave me a good bench to go off of currently.

i am still trying to get my rig stable at the settings listed in my sig...if i drop to 280 i am prime95(dual) stable. at my current settings i can pass occt, superPI 32, 3d01, 05...just my prime is failing...thinking of keeping these settings anyway...all games and programs running smooth..no probs

Ok I noticed someone else saying this now I was wondering what you'd say.

Is it ture that running .5 multis actually decrease your ram speed? If so guess I gotta make sure I can run at an 9x instead. Which I guess means more testing for me :)

Edit: Got my question answered it does actually put the ram on a divider. So strange.

Well after a few days playing with my memory in the yellow slots I'm going back to the orange. And reflashing to the 6-23-3 bios to see if that helps out more.

So more clocking/results to come :)

Then again naa. No new OC results coming. This things stable at 2.5Ghz with 1.525V, can run 1.5V but i've seen a little stability issues at that. Can run near 2.55Ghz with 1.55V

Anyways I said forget it going the opteron bandwagon, got a 170 Dually coming :) So if your intrested in this chip it will be arriving in the Sales section in a few days hehe.
