This look worth the money for a stong wireless remote connection?

Not really, no.. I don't think I could ever justify that cost.

I have the cheap version of it and it works very well.

Add to that I've never really been a fan of broadcom stuff. I just have strange issues with it at work. It isn't an apples and apples comparison, I just try to stay away from their stuff.

I'm not claiming to be an expert but it just doesn't seem worth the cash. I didn't google around for reviews on it either though.

Just go for a wireless router running DD-WRT or OpenWRT, set to client mode and plugged into the Ethernet port.
