SOLVED Unable to install softwares!

[MAL22]

I built my new rig about a week ago and right now I just cannot install anything! i tried installing java and it took 10 minutes before it finished! No progress bar whatsoever, just java sitting there with the progress bar empty until it randomly notified it was done. Now, office 2010 and 2007 just hang there. No progress, just the pretty looking window staring at me. It happens on both my 1TB w/ Windows 8 and my 3TB HDD with windows 7.

I'm out of ideas and this is pissing me off like mad.

ok, for some reasons, Java and office just don't do anything whereas ccleaner installed just fine. I don't understand

I finally ended up fixing the issue myself. Cleared the CMOS and reinstalled windows in EFI GPT mode for my 3TB HDD. Everything works fine now.
