Upgrading comapq cq 62

I have a compaq cq 62 209 and I would like to know if there is any way i can upgrade the chip. It's an Athlon 2 and the mother board is a HP 592808-001. If anyone knows what kind of chip upgrade I can get please let me know.

Its all OEM hp products so you are very limited on what cpus' that board will support and honestly you won't notice an increase in performance. You should look at building a new rig with modern parts. A amd apu with fast ddr3 ram and good fm socket mobo would be the best bet for a budget build. You could build one for like $350 and would see a huge increase in performance.
