If I took the northbridge heatsink off my NF7-s and put a waterblock on it, do you guys think that it will be covered by the warantee or did i void it?

ok if you keep the old H/S and pins I should see no reason why this would void the warranty. You could ask if removing the H/S and thermal compound and replacing it with Artic Silver and the stock H/S voids warranty.

If your really not sure send the manufacturer an e-mail.

technically it will void the warranty. If you put the stock back on before returning, Did not lap it, and didnt do a messy job, nobody will probly notice or care as long as you did not damage the part.

At least thats my take on it, although i dont really know from experience.

hmm alright, i just popped it off, and put artic silver on underneath it, the problem im having now, is that i cant find one of the 2 pins now :(
