To start off, I recently purchased the XSPC rs240 kit. I've been reading that this rs240 radiator is a "budget" series in all aspects.

For now, it will be used to cool just my processor (i7 3930). My goal is to reach a stable overclock of around 4.5 - 5 ghz...most likely closer to 4.5.

The question is...will the rs240 be sufficient for my goals? Or...would I see any noticeable gains with an upgraded rad. I will be running 2 delta tfc1212de fans in push config fyi, which is probably over kill...plan is to turn up the fans when I am rendering or doing heavy multi-tasking between autodesk and adobe programs.

Anyways, I have narrowed down my selection to 3 radiators:

XSPC RX240

XSPC AX240

Alphacool Nexxos ut60 240mm

Any other suggestions welcome...what do you guys think? From what I have been reading, the Nexxos ut60 performs well with decent gains from low to high rpm fans. Haven't seen too many tests or benchmarks on the new AX series from XSPC.

I would go with XSPC AX240 Dual-Fan Radiator - Silver not only does it have a paint free core witch is really nice but the fact that I think thats the one that you remove from the fan housing and paint what ever color you want

You really should ask in the WC forum and read our stickies, there so much infor mation. Ask a mob to move it to the right forum for proper responses.

And head over to the stickies

Update: I went with the XSPC AX240...not much info on it yet, but it is suppose to be better than the EX series. Additionally, I am using high speed fans....EX (due to higher fpi) performs better than the RX series at higher rpms.

The Nexxos UT60 is an awesome radiator and seems like one the top performers, if not he best. It is very close in performance with the XSPC RX series.

The ultimate deciding factor was......the screws. Nexxos uses the tiny M3 screws, while the AX240 uses 6/32. I also figured the new AX will be very similar in performance to the UT60, especially around 1500+ rpms.
