I was doing some testing on my system after doing a Power Supply replacement. System appears to work just fine.
But I noticed, when looking with my FLIR camera that this chip is very hot while running a 3D benchmark. The chip cools down quite a bit when not running the benchmark. I'm guessing that this is a PCIE power control chip, but that's just a guess. Surrounded by all those caps might be a clue.
Anybody able to tell what this chip is? It's right above the graphics card - RTX 2060. MB is ASUS ROG STRIX X370-F.
The chip went above 144 F while running the benchmark and was the hottest thing the camera could see.
Seems awfully small to be that hot and have no heatsink.
Thanks.
