Which 790gx mobo?

There's a lot of boards out there and was wondering what most people are using and what they like the best. I'm looking at a couple of MSI open box boards. Plan on purchasing 1 in the next couple of days. Will pair it with a PII 720 sometime in the near future. The cheaper open box may not have a back-plate or cables. Usually the cheaper the price the fewer retail accessories there are.

IMO - DDR3 isn't worth the extra money at this point. It's just now getting to the point where average priced (not well-priced ) DDR3 can run as fast as DDR2. By end-of-year that may change but for now DDR3 isn't worth it, IMO ...

I am using MSI 790 GX Platinum board it is great running my X4 920 board has it all and is rock stable great overclocker as well

Yes, i'm wondering about that as well. I'm using an MSI KA790GX atm with the latest beta bios. I'm only not really sure what the differences are between the normal and platinum ones.

To start a new thread you open the sub-section page where all the threads are listed, for example "Socket AM2", then click the "NEW THREAD" button on the right-hand side of the section title bar ...
