Will an unstable memory overclock always result in WHEA errors?

I have noticed WHEA errors w/unstable memory overclocks in the past but now I'm getting some problems w/Prey 2017 that are reminiscent of issues I've had w/other games when running an unstable memory overclock. So are WHEA errors inevitable w/an unstable memory overclock?
