Win 7 64 My movie maker is odd

I can import movies into movie maker to edit together. I only get sound on output no video. Same HW and same settings it worked fine before. Same format of video (fraps) from same source also (same HW).

Win 7 64 full updates.

Doesnt matter. Even before outputting if I try to play the clip inside movie maker it is BLACK

Suggestions?? Please folks. I need WMM to work I do a lot of cruddy home video editing that only requires the simple cut features of WMM. I don't want to shell out $90 for Pinnacle or Vegas
