Hi all,

I might be building a rig for someone, if I bought and installed a cheaper version Windows (i.e. windows 7) on it, could I then upgrade it to Windows 10 at the moment whilst Windows are offering the free upgrade? Is this possible.

Thanks!

Yep, in fact you can download the windows 10 ISO from Microsoft. And use the key from the windows 7 to install

Thanks everyone.

Is something like this legitimate?

It sounds way too good to be true (£13). Basically the way it seems is that I can buy this then upgrade to windows 10. Am I missing something here?

Would you recommend any other links to purchase Windows?

I would not make a purchase from them or other websites like them.

It appears they have been dropped by some of their hosting services.

Looking at retailers here in the USA I'm seeing Win7, Win8, & Win10 Home are the same price $99usd. Same goes for the three Pro versions $139usd. Might as well just purchase Win10, unless you can find a sale on another version.
