Actually I did cut the hole in the back for the mobo and PC cards and installed a salvaged back piece from another case, but no pics yet. I haven't had much time to work on it recently.

My main advice for anyone making a wooden case it just take your time and don't get stuck on the vision in your mind. As I build I always make adjustments, get new ideas or abandon old ones.
 
I have around $50 in it so far. The most expensive thing left will be the poly-acrylic finish as it is about $16 for enough to provide the level of finish that I want.
