Well I recieved my new amd xp2100+ B and the new cpu cooler. I played with it a bit over the weekend after burning it in.

My 1st couple attempts ended up with a no-boot or lack of stability when running Prime 95.
So I started slowely:
Seems I can not get my FSB over 147. So I backed it down to 145 and uped the Multiplier to 14 = 2030mhz
I have not adjusted Voltage, still at 1.6

Ran Prime95 over night and another CPU burn prog(can't remember name) for approx 6hrs with no problems.
Temps:
MB: 27 idle 28Load
CPU: 31-33 idle 35-37 load(usually 35)

Here is my set up:
AMD XP 2100+ B
Asus A7N8X DELUXE
512mb Excelerate PC2100 DDR 266
2-128mb pc2100 ddr 266
Visiontek NVidia Geforce 3 ti500 64mb DDR

Here are my questions:
1) Is this pretty good?
2) Should I try and up the multiplier more?
3) Do you think it is the memory that is holding back the FSB?
a) If yes, what could I expect if I put in 2-512mb PC2700 cl2?
4) When or how do I know if I need to change my voltage?

Thanks for helping out a beginner!
Eric

1. Yes
2. You should be able to run or @least boot @ 15 x 145=2175 if not you might have to increase the vcore.
3. About 170
4. When the system need's more voltage it want boot, pass prime95, or any other stress testing program.

Thanks for the replies! :D

2 last questions(for now at least):
1) What memory would you suggest to upgrade too Knowing I don't want to spend $500 for the 1 gig?

2) Is 3dMark free? If so where can I download it?
