Abit AN7 and multipler

Hi.
I use an Amd Xp2400+ on Abit AN7, bios v. 1.
I don't succeed in exceed 217 mhz bus with 10X multiplier and 214 mhz bus at 10,5X multipler.
In both cases, the pc only runs with 1,75 NB core voltage.
Why?
Does it exist a modded bios that resolve this problem?

MY guess is your CPU is too hot. Whats your setup as far as cooling is concerned?
