I just leave both pluged in. What the hell. If it helps it helps, Since I switched to my DFI board I have been able to hit 2890 on my 3200 venice. All is well
 
I had just left all mine plugged in too. Figured I'd rather be safe than sorry even with just one vid card. Don't know how anyone could think that floppy connector on the motherboard was for a fan. That connector is input not output, don't see how a fan would even work connected to it. I've never seen a fan with a floppy connector on it.
