Amd Fx 6300 Clock Speed

Hey Guys Recently upgraded to my Processor From 955 BE to Amd FX6300, Fx 6300 is superb in performance or gaming or in cooling. Today suddenly i noticed that My Fx Running on The Screenshot below i never over clocked the stock fx6300 speed is only 3.50Ghz why its showing like that?any idea?

Thats the stock 8350 speed.

Wonder if they just shut off 2 cores and shipped it without lowering the clock speed.

That's turbo kicking in. It'll turbo up to 4.1ghz when it feels it needs to, but will only last for 'x' amount and generally only really kicks in a couple of the cores.. I'm not sure exactly how the turbo thing works with FX series though.

But it's perfectly normal, and it's not just a cut down 8350 or anything. It's just turbo doing its job.
