hey guys anyone out there running BSD, im looking at tackling that headache :) any recommendations for versions of BSD to use that are fairly simple to install. I tried a copy of BSD awhile and i couldnt even figure out how to install it, it was sick LOL im not a newb at unix but im not a pro either..

I'd also go with FreeBSD, but I'd stick to later versions if I were you. They just released 4.7, and from what I hear it's pretty stable.

FreeBSD 4.3 was my first *nix install, even before I got really serious with Linux, and it wasn't too bad. The way they name hard drive partitions is different than Linux, but if you follow the install documentation it shouldn't be too hard to do.
