ok i bought a Fx5600 256DDR on Dec. 26 and now today i returned it.... because i wasnt too happy with the card and i was having sum glitches in the games so i actually went for an EXCHANGE but they were sold out! :( so i had to return.....

so now i am planning on buying a POWERCOLOR 9600pro EZ

the reason it says EZ because the clcok speed is 400/400 the original is 400/600 i am planning on overclcoking this card to 400/600 but do u think i did the right think by returning the fx5600? or u think i shud hav waited wen they come in stock and jus exchange....?

the fx5600 was on sale but the price had alot of mail in rebates so i did not like it so i saw this powercolor 9600PRO EZ for jus a lil bit more money

do u think i shud go for it?

i hav a really bad budget of 200$ or LESS i am tryin to find a 9500 pro but i cant find it anywher in CANADA i checked online stores and everything...

i noe the 200 is really bad in CDN$$ but my parents wud not go over :(

so do u think i shud go for the powercolor 9600pro EZ
??

or do u think i cud find a better card...?

btw i liv in canada and i am going to buy the card from this store

STORE!

thx in advace :D

do not, i repeat do not buy the powercolor ez if you want to overclock the ram, they come with bad ram that doesnt overclock well, find a way to get the pro

Nah the ti4200 isn't that bad. I wish I had one... but I have a fx5800.....
The ti4200 is like a living legend. Its like the "Rocky" of the video card industry. It's retired now but it can still beat some of the new guys up.

r u saying tht with experience or u just noe?

if u guyz can find me a better video card from here

i will buy it....(within my price range)LINK

if not for the ram speed i would say go for the EZ, however the card would still prob be a great card and outperform the nVidia card (i recently upgraded to a 9800 pro from a 5600 and it KILLS it) oh and i got a 256mb sapphire oem 9800 pro for $350US off pricewatch with 2 yr warranty , this site has it listed for $599 is that canadian what is the conversion?

EDIT: i know that the 9800pro 256m and the 5600 256m aren't comparable cards, just wanted to give some input seeing as you are comparing a type of 9800 to a type of 5600 and i recently upgraded from a 5600 128mb to a 9800pro 256mb, about as close of a comparison as you will find. i clocked the 5600non ultra to 350/525 from 270/400, and it got less performance with eveything set to high performance than the 9800pro at 6xAA and 16x AF with everything set to quality. this shouldnt be a surprise however :D

Dude get $19 dollars more and get the

ATI radeon 9600pro. Great card and it overclocks well. Do not, i repeat do not get the 9600ez. been there done that in october. Went back ASAP.

Good luck

Harry

the conversion here is .75USD=1.00CDN

i was going to go for the EZ but now u guys are telling me not to... so i guess ill wait..... and buy the 9600pro from ATI :)

u noe wt i am really mad about i cant find a 9500pro or 9700pro ANYWHERE! i checked a couple of online stores tht are CDN but none of them hav it

are there any 9500pro or 9700 in Canada?
i heard the 9500pro is almost the same price as the 9600pro and its better

are there any good online CANADIAN stores..

btw i live in TORONTO

The 9500 and 9700 were phased out by ati because they replaced them with the 9600(cheaper to make) and the 9800(faster). If you look in the classifieds section, which you dont have access to yet, you will find a lot of 9700's up for sale at $200.

if ur in desperate need of a vid card the 9600xts are suppose to be pretty good(someone correct me if im wrong) and they are only 60 dollars outa ur price range
do u have a job?
if not can u get 1?
if so y not just save and get something good :p or search ur heart out for a 9500np or pro :p

Experience. The underclocked 256MB 9600 is GOBLIN, and it cannot be adequately overclocked to work admirably.
Avoid it like the plague.

yea thx alot guyz!
i looked at couple of video cards at ebay as well!
i found lots!
