Duron 750, Chaintech VideoExcel Desperado MX, 2695 scores...help!

Hey guys.
Not matter what I tried, I can't get my scores above 2695!
I run 3DMark2K on Win98SE, DX8, GeForce2 MX @ 4x AGP.
Settings are at 1024x768, 24 bit stencil buffer, 16 bit textures, D3D T&L.
I have tried different things, like the Via latency and memory patches, driver variations from 6.50 to 12.20, moving from DX7 to DX8 and back, AGP driver versions from Via ( 4.05 right now ), 4-in-1's from 4.28 to 4.30b.
I don't even run FSAA! I thinking I should have spent a few bux more and got the Radeon! Sheesh!

Can anyone give me any more ideas, or did I buy a crummy GeForce card?

That score certainly seems a bit strange to me. When I ran 3dmark2000 at default and no overclocking (with driver 6.31), I got about 4000 3dmarks. When I overclocked my duron 700 to 978 (thats 9.5x103) and my geforce 2mx to core@220 and memory@187 with driver 12.00, I got 5330 3dmarks.
