Fan on NB: size=?

Hi all,
I was wondering what size would a fan need to be to fit on the stock heatsink on a P4C800 - Dx?
I don't want to use a large fan which comes over the edges to much.
And how to you attach it? (but not with an adhesive which won't allow to come of easy )

40mm, and I'd use hot glue.

careful with hot glue if it gets warmed up and cooled off too much it tends to fall off...

If the fan is running, that heatsink had better not get much past ambient.

The vibration might also rattle the fan loose along with the heat from the HS.

If the fan is off-balance enough to rattle off, you'll know it way before it happens.

The fan either balanced or not vibrates some, this with the heat of the HS will probably weaken the glue after a while. Depending on how much heat there is.

Have you seen Swiftech's new NB cooler?
Pretty nice, it is. It'll run you like $40 shipped, I expect.

um, maybe a fan would be nice. screws might wedge up against the heatsink rather securely, no? Or do you want it to look un-modded after fan removal?

I use Zalman's passive HS (gold square one), this with a 92mm tornado blowing over it keeps my NB nice & cool.

i use a 486 cpu fan on my NB it scrues right in to it
