I gots a question regarding changing
the fsb.

How much will changing the fsb to 140 or
150 increase your CPU temp ?

Also, on average, how much will the CPU
temp go up if you crank the voltage up
just a bit, from 1.65 to 1.7 for example.

Hmmmm This is a hard 1 to answer/ but I'll give it a whirl :) 140 to 150fsb, more than likely with air cooling, hmmmm about 3 to 4 degrees celcius I imagine, from 1.65v to 1.7v/ probably about 2 degrees celcius// these are just educated guess's on my behalf, as I havn't air=cooled in quite some time, I'm just trying to give you a rough idea :)

So your saying I probably haven't cranked
my CPU temp up more than 6 or 8 degrees yet.....

Since my setup has a 370 to slot 1 adapter,
and I believe I have excellent air-cooling
going on. (my MB temps dropped from
32c or so to just a couple of degrees
above room temp after the mods. at 24c
at the moment...),

Do you think trying for 150fsb would be
safe, assuming my various PCI cards can
deal with it ?

fsb, voltage & CPU temp.....& smoke...

I like to smoke while hoping my computer
doesnt... !

i have my PIII 800 eb, on an Asus CUV4X, OCed to 900 by upping the FSB to 150. I have golden orb cooling. The system is very stable. No need to changed to the core voltage. The temp is constant at about 34 c.
