Here is the summary of the problem from when it was just my friends computer crashing in games. Here was his system a week ago:
A7V333
AXP 1900+ and The retail heatsink
512 PC2700 Kingston Hyper X
Geforce 4 TI4200 64mb
Now the computer was crashing in games so i thought it was a heat issue because of the stock HSF, so we went out and got a volcano 11+ which cooled things down but we still were freezing in games. Next up we tried using my graphics card, Radeon 9700 pro, which let us go longer without freezing, but i think that was a fluke and the GFX wasn't the problem. Next I flashed the BIOS to a more recent one in which case the motherboard which lead to being unable to get into windows. From there i Flashed back and i got no picture on the screen and hear from my speakersmy first error "System Failed Due to CPU overclocking."
After an extensive amount of playing around with every component with the A7V333 we concluded the motherboard was burnt or something.

SO next I decided i would buy myself a ABIT NF7 and just give him my A7V8x because it had been a trusty board since the first day i got it. And so i did, my NF7 came in the mail and i installed it into my computer flawlessly baically. Onto his computer, we put the A7V8X in and low and behold no picture on the monitor "system failed CPU's Hot." I cleared my CMOS and just plugged in the minimums, his CPU, GFX, and his ram. Same result, SO i tried putting in my CPU+ HSF, GFX, and RAM (which is just my system of 3 days ago before my NF7 in his case with his PSU) and i get the same error with no picture in the monitor. From here i just put his stuff back in and tried my PSU in his computer same result "sytem failed CPU is hot."

My last inclination was that the motherboard or something was being short, so i put his computer in a whole new case, SAME ERROR with nothing on the screen. I NEED SERIOUS HELP

thanks

what about the mobo stand-offs, do you have those positioned correctly? sounds simple, but seen it before, if one is off, you could have fried the mobo

i still cant get anything on the screen can anyone please suggest something ?

Either try a different cpu or try his cpu in your system - seems pretty much like it has quietly passed away (was it overclocked before)?

is it possible that that CPU breaks boards ? cuz if it does theres no way im trying it in my new NF7, and his GFX is perfectly fine, he uses it in a compaq temporarly until i fix his rig, and we play warcraft III all night
