ID3v2 Tag Structure

Does anyone know how ID3v2 tags are stored in an MP3 file?

I'm trying to write a program to simplify ID3 tagging, and also to convert all my old ID3v1 tags to ID3v2.

If anyone knows how this information is stored I'd appreciate some help.

The tags are stored as plaintext in the file header. Here Is some info on how to retrive them.
